Resurrection

I really thought I would get rid of the Bianchi San Jose when I got the Moots cyclocross bike, but I'm glad I held on to it.  Roads turn into a muddy mess when snow melts and the Planet Bike fenders fit this rig so well that I plan to use it as the snow plow again this year.
We got some snow and cold weather over the weekend, but it has abated.  I like riding in the warmest temps of the day however, so I either ran on the trails and road, or finally today I went for a ride on the cross-bike - this time the Moots though.
There is still trail to be ridden in town - you just have to hit it in the early AM or wait for things to freeze again for a night ride.  Or in the case of all the snow bike riders - hit it whenever.  I've seen tracks all over the college from Pugsley tires and I suspect it is my buddy Danny who lives at the base.  Looks like a fun machine to ride on that is for sure, and those extra fat tires seem to roll right through the wet caliche here.  Those bikes are definitely here to stay and maybe someday I will follow suit.   Until then it's a continuation of my tradition to muck through the winter on the Bianchi when there isn't enough snow to ski on.  The running is happening more and more frequently than the one-day-a-week plan, but not with all that great of consistency.

Lots of time to play right now, but that is going to end soon.  Really soon!

Ah before you know it, you will have a kid in a sack on your back skating around town. So stoked for you both! I remember my first and I got to be a stay at home Dad for the first 6 months or so. Great bonding time!
