September ended with a nasty head and chest cold that has been difficult to shake. Yesterday was my first fun in over 2.5 weeks and there are still is some gunk in my respiratory system that has not cleared. The local Dr. gave me anti-biotics and pro-biotics which really seems counter intuitive to take at the same time.
It was a bit of a downer to get hit this hard in the fall and it made me decide that I'm done with competitive running for the year as I backed out of my last race a run from Flagstaff to the Grand Canyon. It's time to get ready for the skiing. I want to get in some riding, some running and some upper body work before then.
I did have an uneventful trip to Toronto and found this incredibly large bottle of beer. It's actually a plastic growler for take home Molson. For reference that is a 22-oz glass of beer.
Nothing of profound interest learned or gathered up in Canada other than Air Canada doesn't care one bit if you use your electronic device when taking off. Toronto is just like every other large North American city - too many people, too much pollution, and it's harder than hell to find a park of decent size.
